Consent policy
DeepFakeAI clones only people who agree to it, and the product is built so that is the only thing it can do. Here is exactly what we require for each feature.
DeepVoice (clone your voice)
You record 15 seconds of your own voice live in the browser, listen back, and confirm it. The live recording is the consent: a person was present and speaking. On paid plans you may upload a voice file instead; you must then confirm that it is your own voice and that you have the right to clone it. That confirmation is logged with the time and IP address. Cloning someone else's voice, even a friend's or a family member's, is not allowed unless you can show us their written permission.
DeepVideo (from a video of you)
Every uploaded video is checked for exactly one face, against a public-figure index, and for apparent age. Before it can be used you complete a consent read: you read a sentence containing a one-time code on camera, live, inside our page. We check that the code was spoken and that the face in the read matches the face in the video. Uploaded consent videos are not accepted. The voice used for a DeepVideo is a sample you record separately; the video's own soundtrack is never cloned.
Someone else
To make a DeepVideo of another person, that person receives a link and completes the read on their own device. Without it the character is never activated.
DeepMade (house characters)
Our ready-made characters are licensed or original and can be used by anyone within the terms of use.
Marking and logs
All output is marked as AI-generated (a visible watermark on free, metadata on every plan), and every generation is tied to the account that made it. If a clip is misused we can show what was and was not made here, and by whom.
Withdrawing consent
Delete the voice or character from your Library. The sample, the consent recording and every clip made with it are removed.
Reports
Anyone can report a clip, whether or not they have an account. We act within 48 hours and confirm by email.
